Q. Hello, Mr. Ayala. Thank you for taking the time out to talk to us. We would like to begin this interview by asking you about your goal and vision for the future.
A. The pleasure’s all mine.
Personally, I believe that the true purpose of knowledge is to share it with as many people as possible. Once you reach a certain position in life, there’s nothing more fulfilling than using your expertise to guide others to the same success as yourself. Having scaled a successful business from scratch without any prior sales experience and then selling it to one of the largest private equity firms in the world, I think I am in a good place to guide others. As such, I’m looking to mentor motivated and business-oriented individuals to help them achieve great things in entrepreneurship.
Q. How important is innovation for achieving professional growth?
A. Innovation will push you to adopt the latest strategies in your business, which, in turn, will lead you to growth. Innovation and a growth mindset are the primary driving forces that can improve the core of every business. And with the unforeseen challenges hitting the business world hard in the last two years, making innovation and growth work for you is even more essential in the year ahead.
Q. What role does networking and forging new partnerships play in the growth of a business?
A. Networking and building lasting relationships are invaluable in the business world. As part of your growth strategy, you should focus on forging alliances and building mutually beneficial business environments. New partnerships bring to the table new experiences and new strategies, creating a whole new platform for success. Partnerships also help you pass on peripheral tasks to the respective experts in the concerned fields, leaving you enough time and resources to build on your core business. I owe a major chunk of my success today to forging meaningful business partnerships.
Q. Finally, is it necessary to step out of your comfort zone to achieve success?
A. Absolutely. Let go of the old and embrace the new. Adopting strategies beyond your comfort zone is manna for your business. Adopt new management and operational strategies and put them to work. Teach your team how to adopt the latest and most efficient tools and use them to enhance their performance. Push existing boundaries and break new grounds. And most importantly, do not hesitate to put something new to work even if you find it uncomfortable at first.
